Sesame Street: "Meant to Be Shared"
With the launch of Big Hugs Elmo, Hasbro set out to create a toy as endearing and desirable as Tickle Me Elmo of the mid-90s. The unique feature of this Elmo is the "hug" mechanism in his arms—when you squeeze him, he hugs you back. To tell the story of Big Hugs Elmo, we decided to explore the power of hugs through the eyes of child.
Simultaneously, we were tasked to also sell Elmo Junction, a train set that teaches letters and numbers. In both spots it was important to show how integral Sesame Street, and Elmo in particular, is to family time, bonding and teaching children lifelong values.
